Did you panic when you heard that your state was adopting the Common Core Standards? If you are anything like us, you probably found yourself moving through the stages of panic, fear, curiosity, and eventually acceptance!

Together we have developed a way of structuring math blocks in which the Common Core Standards are the focus of all instruction and activities. The Math GNOMe is an acronym that refers to the four major sections of the Common Core Standards – Geometry, Number Sense, Operations, and Measurement. The Common Core Four are four independent activities that students choose to do to enhance their math learning.

On this website you will have access to numerous resources that are constantly being updated to help you create a Math Common Core Classroom. In the mean time, check out our tips on our blog and Twitter pages. See a sample of our resources on Teachers Pay Teachers and Teacher’s Notebook.
